WHOLLY SURRENDERED: He Wants It All!

December 27, 2014

I am sharing a song that was shared with me during fellowship with a dear friend and sister. I listened to it again this morning and it is befitting the time, and sends the message on the heart of our Father, He wants it all.

What is it that He could ask that we would not be willing to give? Is He not the one who gave it all?

I had a conversation online with another sister yesterday who made mention of pride and materialism. When I awoke this morning I pondered those two words more carefully. Pride is when we think more highly of ourselves than we ought. The bible says it comes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall (Proverbs 16:18). Pride also positions us in a place of opposition to the Father, for God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).

Materialism is tied to the God of mammon, and gives way to idolatry. When you combine the two, I see a formula for spiritual adultery which leads to death, for Christ who should be seated upon our hearts is now replaced with the god called "self."

We are called to repent, it's time to repent, for the KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND. It's time to examine our lives, and measure our ways against the word of God, Jesus Christ - Yeshua, who is the personification of the word. It's time to put away traditions and receive truth, to walk as kings and priests before the Father, who is holy. He is holy and we are called to be as He is, for were we not created in His image, according to His likeness?

Whatever it is that hinders us from serving God with our whole heart must be examined and put away. The scriptures instruct us in Hebrews 12:1-2 to lay aside every weight and sin that so easily besets us and run the race that is set before us, looking unto JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith.

The Father seeks those who will worship Him in  SPIRIT and in TRUTH. Having a zeal for God but not according to truth produces empty works. Let us put away dead works and do that which is pleasing to the Father so we can bear the fruitful works of righteuosness and be the display of His glory in the earth.

As the voice of one crying in the wilderness, REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND. Make straight our paths and prepare for the return of our Lord. He comes for a bride without spot or wrinkle. Let Him cleanse our garments through sincere repentance and set our hearts upon that which is pleasing to the Father and aligned with His purposes.

He Wants it All by Forever Jones (lyrics)

There's a voice that cries out in the silence
Searching for heart that will love him
Longing for child that will give him their all
Give it all, he wants it all

And there's a God that walks over the earth
He's searching for heart that is desperate
And longing for child that will give him their all
Give it all, he wants it all

And he says, love me, love me with your whole heart
He wants it all today
Serve me, serve me with your life now
He wants it all today

Bow down, let go of your idols
He wants it all today, he wants it all today
He wants it all today
He wants it all

There's a God that walks over the earth
He's searching for heart that is desperate
Longing for child that will give him their all
Give it all, he wants it all

And he says, love me, love me with your whole heart
He wants it all today
Serve me, serve me with your life now
He wants it all today

Bow down, let go of your idols
He wants it all today, he wants it all today
He wants it all today
He wants it

Oh, oh, oh, all of you, more of you
Wants it all today oh, oh, oh
(Whole thing, whole thing, whole thing)
Today, today

He wants it all today, he wants is all today
So give it all

There's a voice that cries out in the silence
Searching for heart that will love him
Longing for child that will give him their all
Give it all

He wants it all.

  1. God is a God of order. Our all belongs to Him from Eden (birth) to Calvary (new birth). Unless we give all, we are still attached to Babylon (sin) and Death. God cannot accepted double-minded, fence-sitting lukewarm Christians. We are either for God or against Him. There is no middle ground. We are called by God to choose this day whom we will serve. God or mammon. The god of this world (satan) or the God of the Universe. Why do we struggle when we know the outcome? Self must be sacrificed so that we can accept Jesus' sacrifice. He must become the Cornerstone. Isa 28:16, Ps 118:22; Rom 9:33; Acts 4:11-12; Mark 4:12; Eph 2:20; Luke 20:17-18; Matt 21:42; 1Pet 2:6-8; Rom 10:11; Isa 8:14-15; 1 Cor 3:11; Zech 3:9.

    1. It is time to revisit the message of the cross. The message needs to be transformed into action, lest we be deceived to be hearers only, while we are called to be doers of the word. Our knowledge of what to do must now be met with the corresponding action. God's mercy is one of the greatest extensions of His love. I pray we not take for granted that which is afforded to us. Today is the day of salvation, the acceptable time. I pray we all seek the Lord diligently that He may be found during this significant time. Thank you for your share. Shalom!

  2. Just Today, Our Dear Lord asked me..."Are you ready to let go of the reins? Give Me your day and I Will give you mine!" X
