WHEAT & TARES: THE SEPARATION

From June 22, 2013

In my post about Observations and Revelation in numbers, I explained the duality of the number two (2). It's symbolism is shared on both sides of the spectrum, good and not so good. Let us be reminded it's all for God's purpose:
  1. Unity
  2. Separation and Division
This post will be focused on SEPARATION and DIVISION.

Keeping in line with our theme of Harvest and the topic of the wheat and tares, let's expound a bit on the separation of the two.

Matthew 13:24-30
24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

We all know that the man who sowed the good seed is the Father, and the enemy came and sowed tares. We discussed REJECTION because I believe it is one of the most profound tare in the hearts of many, geared to choke the life out of what will blossom from the good seed.

We also know that the harvesting tool in the bible is called a sickle. When I really began hearing the voice of the Lord, one of the first words He spoke and I was able to discern was about the sickle, more than three years ago (early 2012). We know that a sickle is a large cutting tool, with a huge blade and a handle. It is designed to separate, cut away the tares from the wheat. The tares being the useless portion and the wheat garnered into His barns, His storehouse, to be used to feed those who will hunger, who will have need of the word of God.

The wheat in the bible is the corn, and corn is grounded down into fine flour and mixed with oil (the anointing) to make bread (spiritual food - the ANOINTED word of God). We do know that Yeshua is the Bread of Life, and he who eats of Him will hunger no more.

Another story that sheds revelation on this is the story of Joseph, who stored up corn in Egypt to feed those who came during the time of the famine. Now you will see that they brought cattle in exchange for corn (bread), so please see the revelation in this. They hungered for bread, the Bread of Life.

Interestingly, we know that the wheat and the tares look almost identical. I want to make another parallel that we can observe as well. The SPIRIT and the SOUL look identical as well. We know that the tool that divides the two is the sword, the word of God, the word of truth.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Now the word is a cutting tool symbolized in the sickle. So when the word of truth comes, it will divide and separate and remove what is a tare. You see, tares are sown into the soul, that's the only place that is accessible. Our soul is the essence of a person, the function of the heart and mind, the seat of our emotions. When our soul is not in submission to the spirit, chances are there are tares that have been planted and need to be uprooted. It's the part of us that goes into bondage. Think about it, the war is over your soul.

Now, as I shared before, this process will be painful, yet, it will produce in us what is needed to root out the tares in the soul that hinder the flow of the spirit. Hence bringing the functions of the soul under subjection to the spirit, which is in subjection to God; hence the arise of the overcomer.

What is also true is that as this weeding out process is taking place internally, it will have external consequences as well. While the word cuts and divides internally, it will change your perspective of what is in your immediate company externally: people, places and things. When the sword comes, we all have a decision to make. Do we receive the correction that the sword brings, or do we continue in our own way?

To choose the way of the Father, means that those who walked alongside you while you were in your own way, lest they desire to receive correction, repent and turn, they have the propensity to become adversaries.

I once told my son that you can find a lot of folks to walk with you on the broad road, but the narrow road wasn't designed that way. You often have to walk single file.

Now, because the enemy had you bound, it's not his intention to let you go that easily, and often times that position is one we've placed ourselves in because of REBELLION.

Jeremiah 2:19 states: "Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee:"

Because of living in this backslidden state, we invited the enemy to the party. Now, those who ran with you and applauded you in your rebellion, become candidates for your persecution and prosecution. I'm so glad the God is the judge and He doesn't need a jury.

But do not be dismayed, the word of God says, if God be for you, who can be against you, Romans 8:31.

Remember the parable about the prodigal son,  Luke 15. When he decided to return home to his Father, the Father rushed to meet him. Know that a decision, a YES for God, invokes all of heaven on your side. Heaven is backing you and the Great God Jehovah has your back. He's just waiting on you. He's always waiting on us to return home.

Take it from a prodigal daughter!

I'll leave you with this song...

Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling,
Calling for you and for me;
See, on the portals He’s waiting and watching,
Watching for you and for me.

Come home, come home,
You who are weary, come home;
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
Calling, O sinner, come home!

Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading,
Pleading for you and for me?
Why should we linger and heed not His mercies,
Mercies for you and for me?

Time is now fleeting, the moments are passing,
Passing from you and from me;
Shadows are gathering, deathbeds are coming,
Coming for you and for me.

O for the wonderful love He has promised,
Promised for you and for me!
Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon,
Pardon for you and for me.

We are called to be separate, the called out assembly, the ekklesia. Come out, Come out from among them and be ye separate. Be a vessel that God will honor and use for His glory.

Words from the LORD

"Come out that I may receive you, and cleanse you. Come out unto Me for I await you with open arms. Hear heaven calling to you, the voice that resounds within. Come out and come yonder and see what eternity brings. Come unto Me all ye who are weary and heavy laden. Come and enter into My rest. I have rest for the soul and the body, none that this world can give. I gave it all for you, will you give it all to Me. I have not failed before and neither will I again. Trust in Me and I will surely lead you home."

Love, Lord Yeshua!
