Time to Get Back to the Ancient Paths...

I am going to share another post from my sister in Christ that speaks about the apostasy and error that has plagued the church. Before I share her post, I am going to transcribe what the Lord has put on my heart with regard to the matter at hand.

Know that Yeshua is coming and it's time to prepare the way for His soon and eminent return.

In the latest post my sister entitled 40 Days of Cleansing, she closes with a call to action, and that is where I will begin. 2 Corinthians 6:17 says, “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”

The first question one may ponder is who is them? Them has been errantly referred to as the world. The people of God, the believer, is already instructed that we are in the world, but not of the world. Another similar scripture will shed light on who is referred to by them.

Rev 18:4 says, “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

The her in this scripture is the them and refers to Babylon. The portion of scripture in verse 2 of Rev. 18 tells us that Babylon is fallen (fallen into a state of wickedness: source Lexicon) and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Babylon is referred to as her, in the feminine. Babylon is the harlot church, the counterfeit bride, what scripture refers to as the whore, the harlot.

Please understand that Babylon began even before Nimrod thought to build a tower, an alternate way to heaven. It began with the offspring of Adam and Eve — Cain and Abel — and we see the two opposing forces and a snapshot of this end time battle illustrated within that segment of scripture.

Both children born from the same womb, but took two different approaches to the things of God. Abel walked after the Spirit. Please be reminded that the law had not yet even been given, yet by the Spirit, Abel did what was pleasing unto God. He had a relationship with God, by the Spirit of God, not a form of religion.

Cain, on the other hand, thought to offer God what he wanted, that which was of the flesh and when rejected, sought to slay his brother. Both sons, born of the same parents, conceived from the same womb, with the same opportunity to serve God. One sought God's pleasure the other sought his own.

If you recall, Cain was marked in his forehead. Sound familiar? The forehead, symbolic of his mindset, and unchanged mind. Revelation 13:16 speaks of the mark of the beast in your forehead or your right hand. Symbolically speaking, again, forehead refers to mindset, right hand refers to works.

Babylon is a system, and it has a religious system entrenched with false doctrine and tradition taught as doctrine. It is “religion” at it's finest. The harlot system says, come as you are, stay as you are. Let us entertain you right where you are. There is no move or push for transformation. It is a “form of godliness,” and we are instructed to turn away from such in 2 Timothy 3:5.

The true church, the bride of Christ is built on relationship, intimacy with the Father. She keeps the commandments of God, by walking in the Spirit of God. The Father desires worshippers, who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4: 24), not flesh and error. The truth of the word of God can only come by the Spirit of God. And when truth comes, one is commanded, even compelled to CHANGE, to TRANSFORM, Romans 12:2.

A true follower of Yeshua, engages in the highest form of worship, which is the study of the word of God, the very words our Father breathed and inspired that are profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16.

This end time battle is the same battle our Savior Yeshua was engage in during His earthly ministry. The Pharisees, Sadducees, and Scribes were the “religious” community of His day. We now have a modern day replica of the same. Jesus never joined Himself to the religious community. The Pharisees, Sadducees and Scribes were all about outward forms of godliness, traditions and man-made doctrines. The prided themselves on their elaborate garments and phylacteries, along with their “knowledge,” puffed up, head knowledge of the scriptures. To let them tell it, they were scholars of the scriptures, YET, they did not recognize the Christ, Yeshua HaMaschiach that the very scriptures prophesied about. They did not know Jesus Christ and as a result, it was that mindset that persecuted and crucified our Savior.

It is the same battle that the apostles fought when they went forth preaching the gospel of the kingdom, just as Yeshua taught. He taught the kingdom, and the principles of the kingdom, greatly contrast the principles set forth in this errant system of religion. Then, as it is now, only few desired and found the narrow way. Please understand what God so graciously taught me, “If everyone is doing it, it's probably not of Me.”

I understand that we were raised under the very umbrella of this religious system. One of the hardest things I've had to do was unlearn what I was taught to allow the Spirit of God to bring the truth of His word. 

I challenge every reader, to dust off those bibles, and pray that the Father will grant that portion of Himself by His Spirit to open the eyes of your understanding and teach you the truth of who He truly is. The Spirit of Truth can only bring truth. While the Father is pouring out His Spirit, please don't neglect to respond in the affirmative. He will truly lead you to Himself.

Remember, as shared in The Great Divide, we had three forty day periods leading up to Passover on April 15th.  Yesterday, March 5, 2014, marked the final period of forty days. However, unbeknownst to me, yesterday was also the beginning of Lent.  In light of my last post, I believe this was by the Father's design.  The season of Lent leading up to Easter is one of the most serious leavens in the church.  Not only is Easter a man-made, pagan holiday, it is a grave sin and robs a believer of one of the most significant mow`ed or appointments with YHWH:  Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

Exodus 12:14  And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to YHWH throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.  Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.  And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

Did you read that?  He said we shall keep this feast by an ordinance FOREVER.  Forever is the Hebrew word `owlam and it means everlasting, perpetual, continuous, and eternity.  How in the world could the ENTIRE Christian community replace this command with a non-biblical, pagan holiday of Easter?  Could there be more of a Great Falling Away?
