HIS STILL SMALL VOICE: June 7, 2014 Words from the LORD
This morning the Lord literally gave me two words:
1. Regeneration
2. Restoration
These are not words that I am unfamiliar with, but when you search out the definitions, they bring so much more to light, especially with this amazing time we are in. I don't believe these words introduce anything new, but bring confirmation to words already given, spoken and received. I hope you find them to be as uplifting and encouraging as I. God bless you!

Biblical Definition
Regenerate (Regeneration)
Matthew 19:28
Matthew is the first gospel. I thought of first things... GENESIS
19 is the number of FAITH and
28 is the number of ETERNAL LIFE and has its ties to REGENERATION
20 + 8 REDEMPTION plus NEW BIRTH = REGENERATION
I found this great line from a piece written about Biblical Regeneration.
"Regeneration may be defined as the sovereign, supernatural, immediate work of the Holy Spirit in bestowing divine spiritual life to elect sinners."
Regeneration (G3824: paliggenesia)
It is a compound word from (G3825: palin and G1078: genesis)
palin: anew again, renewal or repetition of the action, to be back.
genesis: source, origin, a book of one's lineage, i.e. in which his ancestry or progeny are enumerated, used of birth, nativity
NOTE: Genesis our beginning, the place of our first estate. Kingdom rule, reign, dominion, at one with God. How exciting!
(G3824: paliggenesia): new birth, reproduction, renewal, recreation, hence renovation, the production of a new life consecrated to God, a radical change of mind for the better. The word often used to denote the restoration of the primal and perfect condition of things which existed before the fall of our first parents, which the Jews look for in connection with the advent of Messiah.
Matthew 19:27-30
27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

Biblical Definition
The word restore is in the bible numerous times. God knew that, so I heard the Holy Spirit say, " I will restore unto you.." and my mind went straight to Joel 2:25
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the catepillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
restore (H7999: shalam) TO BE WHOLE, SOUND, SAFE.
to be in a covenant of peace, be at peace, to be complete, be sound, be finished, be ended, be uninjured, make safe, make whole or good, restore, make compensation, make good, pay, requite, recompense, reward.
Here a few more passages in that portion of scripture in Joel:
Joel 2:23-27
23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.
25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
The word of the Lord is already blessed.
Shabbat Shalom!
